Years ago it was the best pub around, now it's a badly run resturant.
Avoid it at all costs.

Not been in here since 1990,was surprised to see it still around when I drove past it a few months ago.

Always had a bit of a rep.
OK for a quick pint, but could get rough on weekends

They've always struggled with this one.
Posh inside, but little atmosphere, and few customers on my lunchtime visit.
Still remember when they opened it as 'Taod Hall' back in the early 80s,think they never recovered from that fiasco.

Used to use this pub when it was a run down tenancy back in the 80s.
Went in last month, and it's gone more upmarket.Great exterior, worth visiting for that alone, and nice beer garden.
Food and drink average, prices just a tad too high, but still not excessive.

The Hen and Chickens, Birmingham
Walking past and looking through the open door to an empty room, staffed by asians was enough lol.
Not used the place for nearly 30 years, and if they want the likes of me back they'll need to do something drastic.

I like the place, not the cheapest, but has character, friendly locals, and they don't move you out of the way so a food customer can sit down.

Use this place a lot,and it can be really up and down.Last visit they had both bars open, and only one person serving both.We left 20 mins later without a drink.
Other visits have been great, food is ok,prices are good, and drinks very competitive.Don't expect miracles, but do expect value for money.
As for Margate, yes it's a dive, but if you do happen to be here this pub is near the front, and vthe station.

Not been in here since I lived locally back in '89.Like most pubs in that area and time it struggled a bit,but now seems to be a thriving pub.
