The Brewery Tap, Brentford

WOW! we have just moved into the area and have been to most of the local boozers,which all have their charm, however the Tap is amazing, live music almost every night which seems to be a sort of jam session based on a loose theme! I'd recommend big mac and the small fries if your into blues/skiffle! also worth mentioning the ale, all good, seafarer for a session and the Chiswick is bang on. The locals made us feel welcome as have the landlord. not into football but there is a room at the side with a screen and pool table, which doesn't interfear with the music or conversation. can't recommend this proper pub highly enough.

The Magpie and Crown, Brentford

Beer is good, the staff are friendly except for the owner (not willing to write landlord!) he was rude, arrogant and argumentative just because......we asked for lemon to go with our tequila! we are a reasonable bunch and up for a good time, not an argument so to that end we wont be back. Shame

The Garden Ladder, Harringay

Last comment I wrote was when I first moved to the area,now been around a while and I still think this is the best pub in the area,All staff are friendly and many of the locals have become friends.Also the new decking area out the back is a master-stroke, improving an already great smoking area. go there for a real full English and the open decks nights are back! see you there soon x

I have known this pub for years and it's rep is huge, i concider this place to be my spiritual local and would move next door if i could afford it.

The Garden Ladder, Harringay

Although i have only lived in the area a while, i have to say that the ladder is the best bar i have found in a while,the staff are spot on and the locals are very welcoming,food is good and the outside smoking area is a winner,i would recommend this bar to anyone.
