The New Beehive Inn, Bradford

The winds of change are all around
blowing change from town to town
building up then pulling down
memories flattened to the ground
The winds of change have changed the face
of everything ......
except this place.

Three Legs, Leeds

dodgy old codgers all spending their pittance
toothless old grannies in holy old mittens
bruisers with troosers all tied up with string
these are a few of my favourite things

radgies and cadgers with hooks and eye patches
rain falling in on their heads and mustashes
pebbledashed lavatories filled to the brim
these are some more of my favourite things

when my heart breaks
when the world ends
when my life is sad
I just have to think of my favourite pub
and life doesent seem too bad.

The Old Brickworks, Drighlington

Dont you just love children
they brighten up the place
They run about and scream and shout
with ice-cream on their face
They throw their food at customers
and spit it on the floor
So bless their little cotton socks
I wont come here no more.

The George Hotel, Inveraray

Round the corner from the jail
Down the dark corridor of gloom
Past bare stone wall and panelled room
To the cheery man of bar
and the busy maids of serve
For splendid food and tasty ale
that we deserve
and back to car and off to sail.

The Elm Tree Inn, Embsay

The elm tree inn just drew me in
I felt quite thin
I had some food
I had some drink to wash it down
I bought a round
I had some more
I staggered sideways through the door
So if you ask me where I've bin
I've bin in the elm tree inn

The Princess of Wales, Clapton

Expensive pub by the river lea
Close to hackney but trouble free
The beers from youngs are very fine
and every sunday diners dine
The locals at the bar are full of wit
Other than that its pretty bad

The West Riding Refreshment Rooms, Dewsbury

oh goodeth rooms
that serve'eth ale
of darketh dark
or pale'eth pale
oh stinketh bogs
that smell of poo
and blocketh drain
I drinketh more
and misseth train

The Farmers Boy, St Albans

Oh Sign, Oh Sign
I wish you were mine.
You was divine.
Like a shrine.
But now youre gone.

Its a sign of the times.
