The Bell Hotel, Clare

Good beer from the Nethergate brewery across the street. Pleasant tranditional decor, but a rather dull "hotel" atmosphere.

The Wrestlers Arms, Cambridge

Superb but quite pricey Thai food. Interior now more trendy and less hospital green, but still not exactly a cosy local feel. Beer respectable.

The Ancient Shepherds, Fen Ditton

Very traditional pub, plush interior, good ales, excellent food both in the bar and the restaurant (but you must book). Not open all day.
