chav central. avoid like the plague. unless you're a chav, in which case, this place is great, you'll love it! never eaten here so can't comment. surprisingly for such a hellhole, the barstaff are polite and friendly, thus earning the place 2/10.

don't agree with the chav comments but definitely has a varied clientelle! front room seems favoured by older types except when there's sport on the tv. rear area inhabited by strange characters and best avoided and more family orientated towards the beer garden (if you can call it that!) great atmosphere on rugby days, both before and after the game, but maybe i'm biased in that respect. 7/10.

The Boaters Inn, Kingston Upon Thames
yeah, good pub to drop by on a warm summer day and sit by the river. beer has been good generally. nice to sit on the grass with friends if you don't mind the odd gang of little rascals knocking your pint over with their football... 7/10.

not really somewhere i'd recommend. unfriendly bar staff - although reading some of the previous comments, maybe they were having an off night. beer was ok though. will probably try it again at some point to give it a 2nd chance. 5/10.

hellhole. avoid like the plague. just what is the point of the tv? agree with aleman in that respect. ok, ok, the point of the tv is to entice the mostly under-age clientelle into buying more alcopops. 2/10.

Archee's Bar and Restaurant, Woking
one of the better places in a town devoid of decent places to drink. but that's no recommendation to say it's the best of a bad bunch. food has gone downhill over the last couple of years. beer too expensive. bar staff quite friendly though. 5/10 (but the best in woking)

*still* the worst pub in surbiton by a country mile. used to live just 5 doors down a few years ago. went in a couple of times only to be ejected for complaining about the beer. so vetoed the place for years until revisiting with friends recently. it's not changed. four of us sitting at a table near the bar talking amongst ourselves, certainly not being loud and definitely not been abusive. the landlady sent some dodgy looking bloke over to tell us to keep it down or we'd be out. we queried this with the landlady herself and she confirmed it in no uncertain terms. can only guess that she didn't like the look of us. wouldn't piss on this place if it was on fire. 1/10 (and the 1 is being charitable)

The Twickenham Tup, Twickenham
avoid this place on match days. they move the tables out and you have to be careful that your shoes remain on your feet, the floor is that sticky. however, on other days, particularly at the weekend, this is one of the best pubs in twickenham with good beer (albeit rather pricey) great atmosphere and generally good bands. 8/10.

went in here with some friends the friday night after the introduction of extended drinking hours. we arrived at 5 to midnight thinking that they'd be open till 1am (like the other pubs we'd been in in windsor that night). they served us some dodgy ipa and then 2 minutes later came round and hassled us to drink up. won't be going back. 2/10.

have been using this place as a meeting venue for a group of friends every couple of months for the last 6 or 7 years. it's definitely got worse over this period. certainly, it's now harder to get served as the number of barstaff has dwindled. london pride is usually ok but occasionally duff. still, it's location can't be beaten if meeting friends off the train and i've never had or seen any trouble with the clientelle or the barstaff. 6/10.

The Queens Head, Kingston Upon Thames
like the previous poster, i went in here recently prior to visiting the curry house over the road. the beer selection was good, the atmosphere very friendly and the bar staff couldn't be faulted. although only there for an hour or so, i must say i rather like the place and will definitely be returning. 8/10.
