The Y Llong (The Ship), Porthmadog
Visiting the area and popped in on a Monday lunchtime. Four ales available including a Purple Moose brew - had two pints of that and very nice they were. Had a steak and guiness pie - huge portion, really well cooked. Bar staff were friendly and service was good. Would definitely recommend this pub and is rightly in the GBG 2012.

Popped in for a couple of pints after a wedding at the church across the road. the ales; Harveys and London Pride were both in good condition. Seemed a pleasant enough place.

The Globe Inn, Sampford Peverell
stopped off for a quick beer last week and found both ales - Otters and Butcombe's to be top drawer.

friendly and knowledgable service, ales always well kept and reasonably priced. Decent clientele; simply what a pub should be.

wholly concur with previous posts. Hidden gem of a boozer and well worth a visit.

large freehouse. decor dated, the masterbrew I sampled was pleasant enough. Food was basic pub fodder; fish and chips though wasn't great. Agree about the friendly service.

The Cittie of Yorke, Holborn
All other visits I had been impressed by this pub, however, popped in on Saturday night with friends from out of town and they had run out of cask beer - keg only - not impressed.
