Stamford Bridge Inn, Chester

A very warm welcome, excellent staff. The beers and food are very good and at a reasonable price. During colder weather get a seat on one of the comfy sofas by the fire and you won't want to move.

This is a very well run pub.

The White Horse, Handbridge

Refurbished and re-opened as simply the 'Handbridge'. Neatly done, but the past few times I've been in there's been a bit more aggro than I enjoy when out for a pint. Food's meant to be good.

The Bear and Billet, Chester

The beer here is always spot on. Sometimes call by during the afternoon and if you're lucky you can get a seat by the log fire - very nice.

One gripe - they don't welcome people who call by on new year as it's ticket only which is a shame. Why charge people to come into a pub?

Food is good value and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The London Hotel, Llandudno

Beer - acceptable
Food - usual microwaved mass produced stuff
Service - rude and aggressive. (OK we all have an off day, but don't take it out on the patrons. That's bad business sense and the trade doesn't need to shoot itself in the foot.)
