what has happened here?? this used to be very busy couldnt believe it when we went in on the friday, never seen it so empty, one of the bar staf said it was getting taken over so lets hope its as good as it used to be!

last friday got off the train bout 2ish with the wife went next door (midland) got served fine, came in here 1 lady trying to serve everyone, asked if anyone else was on, she was just by herself, manageress couldnt help as she was too busy shopping. came back in the evening before getting train, it was empty with 4 barstaff with nothing to do with the manageress(owner) at the end of the bar intoxicated arguing with a man (looked like her husband)
shame really as it has such an amazing interior, cant fault the barstaff very friendly

not our cup of tea, yes its cheap but the cheapness attracts the wrong people, its ok for a quick one or if your with the lads but not for couples,

started in here last friday 3/2/12 nice pub inside, plays all our oldies music from back in our day, served quickly, went back in the evening before getting our train home, the atmosphere is good little bit busier but still ok getting served!

quick visit for me and the wife on 3/2/12, friendly staff and regulars great atmosphere, all the regulars singing away in the top corner ,5 real ales available,

first visit here last friday 3/2/12 since it changed over, very nice inside and good quality beers available, dont mind paying a bit extra for quality.

another pub with quality interior shame about the expensive prices for the bog standard beer available, if it was a premium product then fair enough but its just any normal beer you can find in any pub!
