Oh dear, a pub with a great view of Looe harbour, but so let down by the attitude of the lone bar person. Not a smile, welcome or word of thanks, in fact she was probably the most unwelcoming ba person we have ever encountered. The real ale, Courage Best, was not well kept, very cloudy and when it was replaced with another from a different pump, it came out exactly the same. One of the other real beers was not on tap and the Doombar could only be described as 'alright'. The food was reasonably good but not cheap. A place I would not go back to unless there was a change of attitude by the management.

Nice pub, lacks lunchtime atmosphere. Went there for a lunch bite and a beer, no-one else in the bar, did not do food at 1pm. Bar staff advised us to go to another pub, not surprised there were no other customers. Very disappointed as this could be such a nice place to have a stopover.

Nice setting, beer very good, but not a good place to eat. The food does not come as described on the menu, portions are poor and the head chef (Alan) is not very good at customer relations. When food problems became apparent, he disappeared and left the staff to deal with very dissatisfied customers. This is not a place I would consider returning to whilst the existing management is in place.

The Manor Inn, Galmpton
A nice pub with a good cellar and nice surroundings. The real ale (Dartmoor) came out in very good condition. However, the afternoon visit was let down by the unfriendlyness of the young person behind the bar, no personality and no interest in any other customer than his couple of friends. We seemed to be an unwanted customer. What a shame that the owners do not ensure their staff are customer friendly.
