How is there a poor selection of spirits there are loads I should know I needed a little stool to reach them when I worked there. Also they get the largest bottled of JD.They must have run out that day that happens some time in a public house you know. Go back and take another look.

I agree the pub has went down hill in the past year, I don,t know who these ill mannered staff are but the staff were good when I worked there with my partner. I have to comment on the previous comments about being unfriendly at lunchtimes. Due to the atmosphere we were working/living in, it was like a ticking time bomb. On hearing the management is changing it may be a breath of fresh air for all parties and return to the great pub it used to be. I bet by the summer you will all be back in the garden enjoying the food and soaking up the sun. I hope the locals return as the ones I met where lovely.
Miss you all, Jenni.

I worked in this pub for a while (Little Jenny) and I have to say I found the food fantastic and don't agree with "true north's comments at all." I think the staff in the kitchen and waiting staff work very well to provide excellent service. Atfer using the restaurant with my boyfriend and friends I got to try some of the meals and all of them were great. Sunday lunch was my favourite you have a choice of different meats and mountains of veg and potatoes with a high standard of quality and quantity. Well done Ann Colin and Simon. Also all the other kitchen/waiting staff.

The Boars Rock, Dundee
With the main bar and the lounge room to choose from it's like two different pubs but in a good way. The bar is mainly full of work/trades men and mainly males but good atmosphere being female myself.Big screen tvs great for footie matches and sporting events. The lounge has a more relaxed atmosphere, good for chilling out after work or for an afternoon drink (sometimes hard to get a seat but worth waiting for). Can't complain about the food just your normal expected pub food at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and good natured. Love the humourous sign by the bar in the lounge for fees of wifes/girlfriends calling for their men. Excellent pub, a must see.
