All Bar One, Portsmouth

Poor staff- never enough (usualy just 2 for a bar this size! what are they thinking)
Expect a VERY long wait to be served over priced drinks.
(at the bar we waited 20mins!)

The food is 'above average' but again, expect a long wait at all times.

Expensive drinks, and long,long,long waits to be served - best avoided.

not realy a pub, but a south african gastro meat fest!
Realy nice food, and the abr isnt bad either.

The Horseshoe, Portsmouth

demolished for yet more flats.
sadly missed, and the planners of the city should hide their heads in shame.
A great pub, always very busy, and great place for LIVE music.
sadly missed by all the residets of the city.

Big, busy and cheap.
Exactly what is says on the tin, but always plenty of staff.
Good location, selection of beers.
Fine.

The American Bar, Portsmouth

recently sold, now the food definatly is NOT great, just 'ordinary' but is very overpriced now.
Usual selection of "city' bar types of beer, and sugar laced drinks,

Nice location, though have had complaints from 'local' residents of late about noise levels - the bar was here before you were !
so plod regularly visit now, which has taken the shine off this nice little bar.
