I live around the corner from this pub and hadnt been in for ages, mixed clientele but very South Ken! Food was excellent and was served by chatty, friendly and helpful staff. This is definately going to become my local!

after dinner last night, I popped in to see what the fuss was all about (see previous potings) Although a complete transformation - not at all offensive. In fact I really liked it - especially the ladies'!!! (bet thats got you guys all guessing!) OK so I am a girl in my late 20s and not a 50 something cask ale drinker but surely this is an improvement on what was a tired boozer. People need to move with the times. Give the place a chance...you might learn to like it.

went to the pub quiz last tuesday night...what a fab night! just what we need around here. Pie and mash is fantastic. This pub is getting better all the time

I have to be honest, the hand and flower was not really a place i would have stepped in before. Too smoky, and too male orientated. The refurb has brightened it up, and added a female touch. Went in after work last night with the girls... love it. Great platters and my friend said the burger was great. Looking forward to my husband taking me to the restaurant for dinner!

Oh dear, another sad individual who clearly doesnt get out much - nick was 1986 the last time you went out for a drink? Prices and decor have moved on a tad since then...I enjoy this pub, the food is great, varied wine list, garden is lovely and the staff are friendly. what more do you want from your local?...to be frank.
