The Peasant, Clerkenwell

The Beef and ale pie was nicely cooked and the Saltaire beer they had on was in top condition. Great place to take the wife or anyone else for that matter.

The Marble Arch, Manchester

Amazing pub! The beer was Exemplary! Please send some of your beers down London way.

If you visit Manchester you have to visit this pub!

The Duke of Cambridge, Islington

The barman wearing the red t-shirt was exceptionally rude, He acted like he had better things to be doing than serving us and on top of that the ale I asked for was obviously running out but he decided to try and draw every last drop out of the barrel!

It tasted and looked awful, perhaps he should be given an award for serving the worst pint of ale I've had all year.

They are trying so so hard and failing miserably on all levels.

Only a complete ponce would be oblivious to the pretentious front of this so called establishment.

Pah, you should be ashamed of yourselves!

Avoid this place like the plague.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

Visited on a Tuesday evening, I was initially asked for I.D which I though was strange but it could of been something to do with my recent haircut?

Anyway the landlord was actually very friendly and I tried the Darkstar - 'over the moon' which was supurb.

Really nice interior, exceptionally well kept beer and friendly staff.

Recommended.

The Artillery Arms, Old Street

Not bad for a Fullers Pub, Would of been nice to see at least one guest ale though.

Not a touch on the Wenlock but nice all the same.

The Castle, Holborn

Nice selection of ales on offer.

Granted the pub doesn't offer much in terms of character but its certainly worth a visit for the ale alone.

I found it to be a little overpriced though as I was charged 3.10 for a 4.2% beer!!

The Harp, Covent Garden

This pub has lots of character with old photos adorning the walls.

Nice selection of ales albeit a little pricey at 3 for a 4.2% pint, but I guess its in the middle of town.

Very much worth a visit.

The Carpenters Arms, Marble Arch

I visited this pub based upon the positive reviews that have been given and I wasn't dissapointed.

Very interesting selection of ales and all of them in prime condition.

I especially enjoyed the Stonehenge Danish Dynamite.

If your in the area its worth a visit...

The Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell

Interior has a lot of character without it being pretentious or forced.

Beer on offer is exemplary.

Service is very friendly

Everything a good pub should be.

The Eagle, Hoxton

I was unimpressed with this pub and judging by the clientele it certainly isn't an ale drinkers pub even though they make it out to be.

Better off giving this a miss and going to the Wenlock.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

I visited for the first time a few days ago and tried all the ales that were available.

I wasn't bothered about the state of the carpet as the beer tasted very good and the prices were reasonable too.

Remember its all about the ale, anyway this place has got real character.

One to check out for sure.

The Penderel's Oak, Holborn

I'm suprised this pub has got such positive reviews!

When I went here on a Sunday the service was terrible!

I also spotted a mouse running out from the kitchen with a piece of food in its mouth!

Shame as they had some good ales

The Bree Louise, Euston

I've been going here on a regularly basis for nearly a year and it has improved a lot in that time.

Just the fact that they have 4 or 5 ales on gravity should be enough to convince you to visit.

Unlike many pubs the landlord here takes great pride in the way the beer is kept and served.

If you like real ale this pub is not to be missed!

Highly reccomended
