came for a meal last night as we had heard the last people from the Lamb West Wittering had moved to here................... what a great night the bar was very busy but again the staff and Linda were more than friendly and always smiling.... we also ate and the food was just as we remembered... you have to try the fish and chips............. they were famous around Chichester for thier fish bloody wonderful beat any chip shop hands down!!!
good luck in this wonderful looking pub..... huge garden too

in reply to busymum............ the last people have gone to the Vine in Tarring, Worthing................ I found this out after speaking to a few locals..... the Lamb has gone in my estimations............. staff are not so friendly and the food POOR!!!!!!! they obviously dont have the same passion for food and it could be frozen I am not sure
We went to the Vine last night(Friday) and the service and food are still like we remembered at the Lamb and to see the landladys bubbly smiling face was most welcoming... well worth a drive it took us about 35mins from Chichester..

had a good night on friday, great crowd in good to see the faces............... pity about the arse hole complaining to the landlady because she reserved a table in the bar for a disabled lady......said he wouldnt come back, he won't be missed i'm sure none us locals like him anyway!
nice food and we are back in tomorrow for the quiz

went last night to eat. friday night here is like a friday night in town it was so busy but a great atmosphere, which is helped and complimented by the friendly welcome, candles lit on all tables, and bloody good food. you have to try the slow roast pork belly wow! I love this pub, a real country pub but looks great always clean and well prsented and great staff. check out where the landlady keeps her pen ha ha.

had another great night there on Saturday..... great food and service. they had live music wich was good and the landlord was asked to sing them,this was great fun, his rendition of maggie may.
people dancing and jiving to the music.............fantastic keep it up guys we love it

went to the Lamb on tuesday 20th Dec for their carols and charity raffle.........FANTASTIC. Trays of snadwiches and mince were brought around about 9.30 and then just after 10 they then brought around trays of mince pies.
great night, great music and fantastic pub a credit to the landlord and landlady.

what a beautiful clean pub, there are some great mid week food offers �5 on a monday and �2 a pint.
great pre christmas menu. best sunday roast I have eaten in years. you have to luck carefully for it though as it is set back off the road the opposite side to the sign post.
very friendly and great wood burning fire.

The Vine, Tarring
nice food fish and chips to die for they do a roaring trade on take away too. bit of a narrow street to guage though but all the same lovely pub
