This pub has been re-opened. I did not go in as there is a notice up telling me I can't wear a hat or a cap in there or have working clothes on. In these hard times I would have thought any customer would be welcome even if he/she were naked... seems like a way to put off customers but please do go there and make it a success.

Went here with wife in September 2010. Our opinion - absolutely brilliant. Food was excellent. Decided to arrange Christmas do for 9 of our family. It was done brilliantly. Everyone liked it. No complaints at all.

Had Sunday lunch here with the latest and I hope permanent (at least for my lifetime) hosts. Very satisfactory meal and pint, guest beer, very quick service good value. Could not have been better...but uou cannot eat your courses concurrently they have to be consecutive...I did not know you needed a solicitor to by a meal!:@) I would have thought if you paid your money you could do what you like with your food. PHONE number is now 01234 826885

Always got a good value meal, well cooked and we have always been well looked after. Yes it is a nice pint as well.

The Knife and Cleaver, Houghton Conquest
Every time I have been to the Knife and Cleaver the meals, the welcome, the wine have been superb. Not been let down yet. Would go every week if I had the money. My daughter asked to go there for her 20th birthday so it must be fairly attractive to the young.

Food is fantastic. It is cooked really well. Beer is good. I have been to this pub twice. My wife thinks food is great also. Trouble is that you do have to wait a while, so I would recommend having a starter.

The George Inn, Little Brickhill
I was not very happy after my visit to this establishment. The only problem we had was with the food/service. Decor/atmosphere/staff/drinks/welcome were all excellent. Waited an hour to eat. Steak and chips- how could a trained chef undercook chips? Medium steak was very rare. Just the barest essentials on the plate. The tiniest cheesecake I've ever seen. 50 for two was greedy.

Royal George, Stagsden
I've been there. I like it. Yes it's a shame the large garden is smaller but that beats Charles Wells's method of dealing with this Pub. (Sack the successful landlords and put someone in who could not run a burger van then close the place down). Good luck to the present owners. I understand the menu is expanding. Long may it continue.
