been several times and always had a pleasant experience.Food has always been well cooked & presented and staff are both friendly and efficient.It does have a bit of a "chain" atmosphere but is well laid out and reasonably priced for the area.

great location-very good food and consistent quality but prices are way too high.Staff are mostly young and seem to undergo very little training.There is a general lack of interest in the customer by most of the staff and the landlord has had a personality bypass of major proportions. !!

went for a bar meal a few weeks ago and was amazed at the improvement.New landlord has worked wonders-good atmosphere,excellent food- everything a country pub should be !!!

This would be the ideal establishment for Penguins or Polar bears !!Their idea of heating is putting the lights on.We have been in some pretty dreary pubs in this area but this one is a winner-the owner seems to take great delight in criticising the staff in public-which I found embarassing-and the general staff attitude is one of contempt for anybody daft enough to try and order at the bar.Needless to say we didn`t stay-hyperthermia was not on our New Years List
