The Tennis Court, Warmley

Just recently re-opened after a major refurbishment. The bar has been opened up to give it a more open feel but it still retains all it's character. Good selection of real ales. There are plans to do food.Well supported by locals.

The New Inn, Lower Westwood

Recently taken over by a South African; Peter & his wife. Have been a number of times recently & it is well worth a visit. Good range of real ales & draught ciders, which are well kept.
Bar staff friendly & informative. Food is excellent & well priced.

The Fortescue Inn, Salcombe

Like the idea of 2 bars. The Otter in both was absolutely cracking. Food looked good although at the top end price wise for pretty standard pub food but can't really cooment as I didn't eat here. Thought the locals were friendly in both sides. Even on a Sat night in the younger right hand bar was well run with no-one being out of order.

The Kings Arms, Salcombe

Great, busy pub with welcoming staff & friendly clientele. Large restaurant to the rear with very reasonable menu. Real ale wise only Bass on draft.

Victoria Inn, Salcombe

Shame, visited it on a Friday night & was told by the mangeress(?) that it would be closing at 10pm. Not sure if they were having problems but there was only one other couple in there & both the Dartmoor bitter & the St. Austell was flat as dishwater. Could be a good drinker.

The Griffin, Frome

Biased of Frome again, awards received for entry level brews so far; Amarillo 4.3% winner of Salisbury beer fest, Funky Monkey 4.0% runner up Poole beer fest & Beer 5% Supreme Champion Poole beer festival.
Come & try for yourselves

The Griffin, Frome

I am very biased as I am one of the owners but even if I wasn't I would still recommend this pub. Interesting people in the bar to talk to, well run & with a great choice of beers brewed on-site. One of Frome's gems.

Plays good music including lots of reggae.
Staff are very friendly.
