The Four Horseshoes, Whitstable

Friendly and somewhat quaint this is a breath of fresh air compared to the modern pub. Nice open fire, friendly staff and comfortable armchairs if you fancy staying a while! Quiet whilst I was there but that didn't take away from the enjoyment.

The North Star, Leytonstone

This is the only pub in the Leytonstone area worth drinking in. It has character, good staff and good beer. Long may it continue to be so.

The Sheepwalk, Leytonstone

This used to be a half-decent pub that was popular, had good staff and served decent beer and food but in the last year or so has gone down hill dramatically!
Alot of the regulars have left, the food is virtually non-existent, the staff are less than adequate and the atmosphere has been completely lost, and that's before you even venture near the toilets - which get a mark of 0/10. Its only saving grace is the "What's Cookin'" music gigs that are held upstairs on Wed & Sat nights.
