The Odd Wheel, Wembury

A fairly regular user of this pub. Started off well but the landlady clearly has problems keeping good staff. Regular turnover of chefs make eating there a real gamble. Lots of enmpasis on attracting parties at weekends so have turned up on several occasions to be turned away as bar is closed for function. The bar/waiting staff (especially the boys) seem far more interested in talking with their mates than actually serving you. Despite an attractive refurbishment the odd wheel does not come anywhere close to the friendliness and quality of three other nearby locals, namely Volunteer, Rose and Crown and The Dolphin. What a pity!
