Read the reviews from bottom to top to get a sad history of this pub. Used to be a great place but last time I went it was populated by drunk fat birds with their kids in pushchairs and their skinhead "partners" with their shirts off. Avoid.

Not the most exciting pub in the world but the ales are first class. Check out the hexagonal pool table (still got six pockets you see...)

The Rovers Return comes to Essex! Good beer and freindly locals. Didn't know a soul in there but was made to feel very welcome. Will go back for sure.

Can confirm open again. Bit of a barn, used to be better. Adnams on tap, was ok. Went there to watch footie but could find no reason to go back.

The Prince of Wales, South Ockendon
A pub in decline and sad to see. No ales, bright lights and bland decor, The few nights that generate any interest seem to end up with a fight.
Used to be good for football but that has also fallen by the wayside.

I agree with other reviews, excellent food and beer and freindly staff. A gem.

Being run by new people. Good food and beer ( 2-3 ales on tap) but let down by being cold and draughty in winter (due to smokers leaving doors open front and back) and lairy pikies late at night.

Great pub. Great beer. Great food. If you think make up or bling makes you look more attractive then give this place a miss, stick to the Camelot.
A real pub for real people.

The Riflemans Arms, Glastonbury
A knobhead free environment. Sit out the back on a summers afternoon with a pint of scrumpy and the world seems a better place.
