The Watermans Arms, Richmond

Good pub, just away from the evening madness of Richmond riverside.Good Guinness and friendly people. Its a bit like having a beer in someones front room! One of the nicer pubs in Richmond, with a beer garden to the side of the building. Recommended.

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden

Always rammed full and the Guinness is not the best. I've had food there on a Saturday when meeting friends there and it was pretty good. To be honest I always try to drink somewhere else. In the summer, standing outside, you're right by the back entrance to a restaurant, smelly bins and all.

O'Riordans, Brentford

Went here a while back. Very friendly locals and top Guinness as I remember. Keep meaning to go back but I dont work in the area anymore and live the other side of London, but will certainly head there if in the area again. Recommended.

McGlynns, Kings Cross

Good pub with a bit more heart to it than Chads down the road. Good beer and a place to relax away from the Euston Road and Kings Cross. No rip off prices either.

The Stags Head, Camden

Sadly missed. Was a great place with top Guinness and great live Irish music particulalrly on Sundays. Good place to warm up after a day at Camden/Stables market. Spent many a good night there and met my missus there. Certainly irreplacable.

The Porter and Sorter, Croydon

Ok pub, but location is a bit dull. The queue of black cabs next to the beer garden adds a distinctive feel to a summer beer.... Staff have been friendly, but gets really rammed and doesnt really do anything for me. I'd sooner walk a bit further and try something with a better atmosphere, but Ok for a quick pint after getting off the train.

The Dog and Bull, Croydon

Top pub. Great Youngs and decent rolls to accompany your pint. really traditional and great place to go on market days which adds to the ambience. The Special is the best around I reckon. Friendly staff also. Good to see an old style pub that does what it says on the tin. 8/10

The Windmill, Croydon

good pub with top Guinness. Good for footy and have heard that the Sunday nosh is good from friends. worth a visit if you like a real local feeling pub and a relaxing pint of the black stuff on a Sunday afternoon.

The Claret Free House, Addiscombe

good choice of beers (and a lot of real ale), but gets really smokey. Lacks ambience as its basically a converted shop unit, but staff always really friendly. Seems to get a regular clientele prob due to good quality ale. recommendedif you are a CAMRA type geezer.

The Alma Tavern, Croydon

Good honest local. no frills but has decent beer although nothing particularly unusual in terms of choice. friendly staff and locals. Recent refurb improved the feel of the place a bit. Pool table and a several screen to watch the footie on.
