Following the 18 September review - was Vinny sacked then?? I must go in an see how it is under Ivan. Used to be a good pub 10 or more years ago with a varied and very attactive menu but sadly things went very down hill at one stage. Let's hope for better days.

The Liberty Bounds, Tower Hill
Reasonable for a Wetherspoons - was in there lunchtime today after a guided tour locally. Being large, very busy and in a tourist area you cannot expect the first class service you might otherwise, and are just glad to get to a nearby pub. Staff whilst under pressure could be more polite - one barmaid giving me a Scottish �5 note was very resistant in changing it. Food reasonable but could be more palatable. Not the place I would go to for a special occasion.

Went last Saturday for an evening Dinner. The place had been recommended to us and was soon full. Both the meal (very tasty and plenty of it) and the service were excellent. Would heartily recommend it to others.

A pleasant pub which offers many screens for viewing sport, and is well supported by young people living in the area or at lunch time by those working locally. Friendly landlord and staff. Good meals at reasonable prices. Only drawback is that it hads 0nly one brand of bitter
