Beer was ok, when I got in, but not really my palate, so as there was only two on offer, not over impressed. Decor very tired towards shabby. Tried the door at 7:15 - locked, so went round the corner to the Napier Arms. Overall, got the impression the landlord lost interest a while ago.

The Frog And Toad, Gillingham

Don't know if regularly like it, but the real ale seemed 'tired' to me. Not unfriendly, but then not anything. I gather the only point in going here is for the beer festivals. Must look out for one, otherwise Asda's does better beer.

The Dog and Bone, Gillingham

Does have a different and better beer choice to the 'standard' Admiral Tavern chain (this is a freehouse) but you may have to tell them when a beer isn't right or 'gone'. Not personally happy about a slobbery dog in a place which does food, regardless of how friendly it is. Locals reasonably friendly, for a very basic chat!!
