I love this pub myself. It has got the feel of a real old school boozer, where the same faces sit in the same seats day in day out - that's you too Richard Baxter!!
Harry is indeed a leg end. He keeps the pub running smoothly, keeps the pipes clean and the beer fresh, and always helps out Lanes, by employing some former Lanes totty behind the bar - good work!!
If you are expecting a gastro pub, or sanitised bar, then epsom has plenty of other places you'll be welcome. However, if you want a good pint, in honest, friendly company, then the Rifleman (or just simply 'Harry's' is your place!!)

Hi There, I'm Ollie, a resident of Epsom for 27 years now!!
I guess I'm middle class but either way, no one I socialise with goes to Chicago's. The place is aweful, looks rough, stinks of booze, piss and sick, and costs an arm and a leg. As an indie kid at heart, I would rather head out to Brixton or Clapham on a night out - rather LESS chance of getting beaten up there methinks!!
In the case of Epsom as a whole, I've just come back after living for a year in Sheffield, and before that was living in South London, so haven't lived at 'home' for around 3 or 4 years now - the place is improving. There are more diverse bars here now, plus more places suitable for people in their late twenties / early thirties (like what I am lol!!)
As for the 'ladies' if you like completely fat, ugly, common slappers then this will do you a treat. I have a higher standard I'm afraid (private education did me the world of good!!!)
Cheers, OT.

The Assembly Rooms, Epsom
How can you honestly not love this place? Okay, it gets rammed of a friday night, with standing room only all round, but the atmosphere is always fun, with plenty of totty about in their mini skirts and low cut tops!!!
They have a great range of ales, both real and lager, and the promo offering IPA at 99p a pint is simply a winner!!
The place is also very safe, with a security presence constantly patrolling the place, keeping the chavvy minority in place.
Good effort Tony and team, keep up the good work.
