avoid like the plague!! flat overpriced beer and drug taking in the toilets at weekends as gets full of every little scally from the surounding areas and the landlord is a miserable foreign sod as well! just a metter of time before he loses his licence or loses him money and shuts!

really good sam smiths boozer with a very good mix of punters! everyone gets on a has a good wind up with ages litterally ranging from 16+ to 90+! i agree that music of some sort would go down a treat, but then again when its busy you really dont realise theres nothing on, well worth a pint or two on a night out!

a cracking pub with live music at weekends but for some reason whenever i seem to go in it never seems that busy which is a shame, that said it is a very big pub to fill, nice friendly staff.

really good friendly pub! most people in there nkow most others, but feels very welcoming! good karaoke on friday nights and good laughs to be had!

The Old Market Tavern, Altrincham
terrible! thats the only word i can use.. the bar staff are pig ignorant and ignore you for ages and serve 'regulars' (bearing in mind ive been going in on and off for a few years) so regulars to them means going in EVERY nght!! then when they do actually serve you they have a face like thunder..!!
please avoid at all costs on a sunday night unless you want your ear drums blown! they have ridiculously load heavy mental bands on and the place stinks of leather and sweat with all the 'bikers' in there.. i say bikers, although most dont own a bike but just choose to wear leather & demin etc..
basically rubbish!

161 was an over-rated over-priced over-crowded little bar in a now jumped up town full of plastic millionaires living on maxed up credit cards and i speak for many 'real' locals whom are very glad to see it go!
