The Cock O' The North, Henleaze
THERE IS A GOOD REASON THAT THIS PUB ONLY HAS THIS POSTING.
THE PUB WAS IN MY VIEW DESTROYED BY SCOTISH AND NEWCASTLE AROUND SIX YEARS AGO.IT WAS TURNED INTO A JOHN BARRIS PUB.THE FOOD IS FROM ALL FROZEN VEGITABLES AND IS NOT THAT GOOD ALLTHOUGH REASON ABLY PRICED.THERE IA LITTLE OR NO ATMOSPHERE IN THE BARS AS PILLARS HAVE BEEN PLACED SO THE LOCALS CANNOT SEE EACH OTHER TO TALK.
THERE ARE NO BAR STOOLS AS THEY DO NOT LIKE YOPU AT THE BAR FOR TO LONG.THE MANAGER IS QUITE SO MUCH IN FACT NO ONE KNOWS WHO HE IS.
VISIT THE LOCAL LIBRARY NEXT DOOR THERE IS MORE ATMOSPHERE AND PEOPLE TALKING TO EACH OTHER

THIS PUB HAS BEEN THROUGH MANY CHANGES OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS.
IT HAS HAD MORE NEW MANAGERS THAN I CAN REMEMBER.
BUT NOW IT HAS TERRY.THE PUB HAS BEEN RIPPED APART AND CHANGED FOR THE BETTER,THERE ARE TWO DART BOARDS AND A POOL TABLE,A GOOD JUKEBOX AND PLASMA TV.
THE GARDEN IS GREAT ALL NEW TABLES AND CHAIRS.THERE IS ALSO A NEW WOODEN CLIMBING CASTLE FOR THE YOUNGSTERS.
THE RANGE OF BEER IS GOOD AND THERE ARE SEVERAL REAL ALES.THE CHEFF MARCO IS ALWAYS HANDY AND THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD.THERE ARE PLANS TO IMPROVE THIS PUB IN THE FUTURE. BUT ITS WORTH A VISIT NOW. M MILLER BRISTOL

The Turks Head, St Helens
A pub that is getting better by the day. Sells 4-5 real ales, handpulled cider, Erdinger wheat beer, Kriek, Budvar Black, belgium bottled beers. Curry night on Thursday. Great staff and the owners bought the pub outright in May 2005 and are turning it into a real haven. A real fire in the bar as well. Has numerous beer festivals during the year.
