this is going to be done up as part of the LSBU and Elephant & Castle (Southwark Council) redevelopment of the area. i dont think it will become a pub again and im sure that the building will not get pulled down as i understant that it is acually a listed property, unbeleaveable i know!

The George, Elephant and Castle
for all those who miss this pub, it has now become the Keyworth Building of LSBU. Which is a wonderful 8 storey building with some good views over South East London. Sorry for the bad news.

Metropolitan Bar, Baker Street
the one problem i found with the large room was the amount of pillers and the closeness of the tables. which ment you felt drunk without having a single drop. apart from that the place was very impressive

most of these old blokes have been there from when its opened at 9:30!! i used to walk past it on my way to school and on a number of occasions i saw the old blokes waiting for it to open. i walked past at 8:15(ish) and at that point it opened at about 11:30!

very few people use this pub, but the food is very good. pity about there taste in TV channels, every time i have been in there it has been ITV1, which im not a fan of. and the pool table costs �1.20!

The Rockingham Arms, Elephant and Castle
I agree that there is a lot of students in this pub, i am aone of them! I see no problem with the pub, the staff are all friendly, and its the only spoons that offers student discount. it cant be that bad as the university lecturers go to the pub as well for a beer and a meal. plus its cheaper than the Student Union!!!!

The Temperance, Putney Bridge
very good pub. like the beer mugs that you got fo0r your real ales, one of a very few that have them these days. did find the food was a bit sparce for the money, but great place. wish there late night licence had come as at the bar at 11:10 and they told us they had been closed for the last 10 mins.
