Agree with other comments. Used to drink here all the time when it was "the black horse" Great pub it was then. Thought it went downhill after the first refurb. This place is barely recognisable as the place I used to drink in back in the day. Indian Restaurant/Pub hmmmmmm not the best concept on the planet. Last time I was here there were 4 other people in the place....Cannot believe they are going to stay in business much longer

The times I have been here the service hasn't been as bad as some reviews might suggest. I did have to wait but the staff were friendly once serving me. Atmosphere OK and on friday nights the place is rammed. Not too sure about the music the DJ plays, pretty sure if you asked the punters in here what they thought of it 90% wouldn't like it.

Used to drink here reguarly. Now however, I find that the place is full of oiks who have actually TRAVELLED to drink here. Dear me what is the world coming too where people will travel to drink somewhere like this. Waits at the bar are obscence, although staff are friendly, never ever understood perfume sellers in toilets that just puts me off too. One of the worst pubs in Blackheath

The Hare and Billet, Blackheath
Totally agree with cooperrob. No chav's or Pikeys in this place. It seems whilst the whole of Bexleyheath empties and travels to O Neil's, Blackheath retreats and drinks in the Hare. Great atmosphere, Great Pub, Food by all accounts is great too. Really recommend this place, One of my favourites.

To be fair not as bad as the reviews seem to suggest. Sure you have to wait sometimes for a pint and that is not ideal. However, I would suggest trying O'Neils over the road, waits in there are often far longer. On the whole this pub has a great mix of punters old/young and the atmosphere in my opinion really isn't that bad.

The Hogshead, Sidcup
Best pub on the high street. Well to be honest not a hard one to achieve. The Hogshead really could do with a refurbishment. I remember when this place first opened it was banged out most friday and saturdays. On my last visit it was dirty, rundown and requiring a good scrub down and a lick of paint. That said the atmosphere and punters in here are a cut above whats found up the street.
