Gazbert wasn't lying when he said cleaning etc.. had changed the pub - it looks nearly new (well, as new as a medieval building can)! It also smells good. Hopefully the pub will revert back to how it was when it first opened.
My only complaint is it's far too close to where I live!

There is going to be an Art Display opening night with a Valentines theme on Friday 11th Feb - should be fun! Also bands are now playing every Saturday night!

i think i have to agree with the previous comment. I was turned away from browns when i tried to buy a coffee - no reason was given - but they didn't have a problem serving me 15 mins before hand!

I have to say I have spent many a day (and night) in the Beer Engine, and I have never suffered from a rash! maybe gillyweed is allergic to dogs!
I will also say this is one of the few pubs in town where a girl can enter on her own and feel kinda safe - it gets a high rating from me too.
