The Refectory, Godalming

Been here a couple of times lately, always a good supply of real ale. Food is adequate, but nothing special. Waiting service is non existent. Does not help that staff wear there own cloths, so if you have a question you do not know who to ask. On our last visit we ordered desserts after our meal, the waitress could only bring us a teaspoon and a fork to share, as they had a busy lunch they could not wash cutlery. It was 8.30pm with another only five other tables eating, not really putting the customer experiance first!

The Inn On The Lake, Godalming

Busy branded pub, the food is ok, but the service could be improved slightly. My main issue with the pub is they always seem to have run out of draught lager or ale when I visit.

The Mill at Elstead, Elstead

Not been to the mill for over a year due to many bad experiences. Visited on Saturday night at the persuasion of friends, and gosh what a change! The newly refurbished pub looks fantastic (must have been done recently), a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the service has vastly improved, with smiley friendly staff. The menu was good and the food quality impressive. Well worth the visit and will definitely return.
