Great pub but the beer is dreadful, only the stout is drinkable - as for the wine, they should be prosecuted under the trade descriptions act.

The Ark Royal, Wells next the Sea

Up there with one of the worst pubs on the planet. Avoid like the plague in the summer. Expect the place to be empty when smoking ban kicks in - it may improve ????

Crown Hotel, Wells next the Sea

Great place to spend and afternoon reading the papers and relaxing. Food is excellent - have the BLack Slate to start - fantastic. A great crowd, mixture of locals and tourists/holiday homers. Chris the main man is a great host
