The Trocadero, Birmingham

Bit of a hit or miss pub. Have been in and had great service, great beer, lovely meal and generally good time. Also been in where only two staff in on a saturday lunchtime with birmingham city football showing on the big screen! Not the cleverest idea in the world. Also been in when meal hasn't arrived within 45 minutes and beer tasted foul! Try your luck, you never know.

The Square Peg, Birmingham

This could be a really great pub with some care to the finer details. Its spacious and in a great location but like any wetherspoons it seems grubby. Hard to find a table where the previous visitors meals have been cleared away. Recently the meals seem to be taking longer to arrive and the portions seem to be getting smaller

Solomon Cutler, Birmingham

Visited on a wednesday evening which is student night in Birmingham. The bouncers are a bit scary but the atmosphere was light. The bar staff were obviously new as they got our order wrong twice but were very apologetic. Would visit again but probably try a weekend next time.
