I stopped in for a pint while waiting for the train. Pretty standard pub style, but clean and nice.

I enjoy going here, but its more of a cafe than a pub. The food is great, so are the coffees. It draws the pre- and after-cinema crowd and has a lovely balcony on the riverside (but high up so don't worry about river levels!) I took refuge here one day when there was a sudden downpour and it was great to watch the lightening and heavy rain through the glass, in the warm with a hot drink.

Great local beers, awful wine selection. (I guess it is a Yorkshire Brewery pub though! What better way to make you sample their brew?)

I've been here a couple of times, both on pub quiz nights. The beers are great, and local, and the bar staff are friendly, and the pub quiz is a decent challenge. I'm not so keen on the little stools but you have to be there early to get a proper seat.

Great cocktails, quite a squeeze but maybe it was a busy night. It was open until about 2am last time I was there (a Thursday night just before Christmas). As for the toilets, just keep climbing!

I've been here a few times and want to like it - they have a fantastic cocktail selection, and I'd recommend drinking one of these rather than a beer. They are skilled at making them but be warned it can take quite a while to get served - the bar staff have their own idea of how fast to go or who is next.
The second floor is unique with its beds and cushions - every time I've been there's been space. They offer wifi but it still doesn't work with macs, disappointing considering the booths are a great spot to get some work done on a quiet afternoon with a decent drink.
This place has potential - nice drinks, unique idea, perfect central location - but I always end up just a bit...disappointed.

Extremely good food and friendly service. They have got the finer details right - local ales, wooden pub decor, inviting dining area and even wellington boots for booking/table markers. The wait for a table was short and gave us enough time to enjoy a beer. They forgot to tell us to order at the bar so we were sitting talking for a while but otherwise a flawless service. It's definitely worth the drive for a good dinner, and worth paying the higher-than-usual prices.

The Old Vic, Scarborough
I stopped by for a drink while waiting for the train. The beer selection was average, nothing special. The chair and table I was at were both wobbly - I would have swapped if I could find a better one!
