Like most Weatherspoon pubs a nice selection of real ales. The interior is quite nice and it looks rather inviting from outside. The food I had to be honest was very poor.
Me and my girlfriend wished we had paid 3 more per head and gone to the pub across the road. 5.50 for spaghetti bolognese is cheap but for what we got over priced. A micro-waved meal upturned into a bowl with the spaghetti on top of meat (what there was of it)... finished with what looked like a finger mark to check if it was hot or not.
For a cheap beer... not a bad pub, for food... poor, even by Weatherspoon standards.

I popped in recently in the morning and was met by one girl trying to find a bag of coffee for the espresso machine and the others trying to serve a massive queue of two people; I waited 10 minuets then walked out. This place thinks its a trendy hangout but you need trendy people for that; instead they get all manner of low life from the surrounding area. If its a nice day it got a nice garden out back, other than that dont bother

Another pub which doesnt know how to serve people, clue the person at the bar first gets served first! The guy I was standing next to mentioned to the bar man he served 2 people who had just arrived at the bar before him; the barman just smiled and then ignored him... I also had the same thing happen to me and just walked out! On top of that the bar girl working here is as miserable as hell! Small pub, nothing special and with bar staff as rude they have, no reason to bother popping in.

As I walked into this pub I popped into the toilet before I was to order my pint. One of the bar staff steamed into the toilet after me screaming that I had to buy a pint first. I promised I would buy a pint when I came out. But no that was not good enough. I had to leave the toilet buy a drink then go back in the toilet, which I declined. Ok, I should have asked to use the toilet... Personally I would take someones word if they say they are going to buy a pint (which I was).
As I walked through the bar everyone was staring me because of all the shouting (not from me I might add). I asked to speak to the manager and was told by the lady there she was the manager. There was no point arguing my case with this woman, as she instigated the whole situation in the first place! Very unprofessional bar staff to the point of stupidity!

Went to this pub on Sunday as my girlfriend wanted a roast; I had the burger. Roast was Ok - a bit pricy at 11. My main problem was with the burger. It was served with oven chips and the burger itself was obviously from a packet as well. I would expect this from an O'neals or Weatherspoons as you would only pay 4 or 5. A review below this called this nearly a gastro pub... hardly! The place itself is nice and it had a good selection of beer. I was just very disapointed with my meal which I hope the owners look into as 8.50 for oven chips and a packet burger is a bit poor... I was asked 'how is the food' and I said fine... Why don't us brits say it as it is a bit more at the time...
