The General Wolfe, Westerham

visited the General Wolfe on the recommendation of this site for a mid-week lunch. Bar is small cozy and, dare I say it, quaint. Very friendly reception from bar staff and good pint of speckled hen. Very nice "sun-trap" patio garden at the back where we ate an excellent chilli con carne. Great lunch. Highly recommended.

The Old Coach and Horses, Harbledown

Couldn't really describe this as a pub .. really a restaurant that happens to have a small area that serves drinks .. turned up one early evening hoping to find somewhere for a quiet pint and when eventually I was able to distract a member of staff from laying up tables for dinner I got the feeling that my custom was unnecessary and that the later evening dinner trade was who they were after. Shame ..great location and nice looking building

The Sun In Splendour, Notting Hill

went on a Tuesday night expecting a quiet pub ..but was heaving ..could be bad ..but wasn't as staff very welcoming and atmosphere great ..reason for busyness was open mic music session that was excellent (in places) ..had some food that was great and good value ..highly recommended
