The Tollgate Inn, Holt

We stayed here recently and were made to feel very welcome. The beer was good and there was a nice pubby atmosphere as well as a thriving restaurant. Food not quite as good as I had anticipated but was nevertheless excellent.

Royal Oak Inn, Staffhurst Wood

The food here is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Have not had the beer but the Chianti was excellent. The devilled kidneys were out of the world.

The Hopbine, Matfield

A really nice pub for a Sunday lunchtime drink. Can usually find a corner to sit but it is "buzzing".

The Old House, Ightham

A truly wonderful pub, long may it live. The Gravesend Shrimpers is to die for and now the Winter Warmer is in for Christmas.
