All Bar One, Marylebone

It's just like every other All bar One. Dull, Dull, Dull!

The O'Conor Don, Bond Street

Yup, it's not a bad boozer.

The guiness is good and it makes a refreshing change to have waitress service.

However, any pub that is "themed" is fairly tacky!

The Queen's Head, Chelmsford

The best pub in Chelmsford.

Good beer, and also you'll have to get used to actually talking to people as there's no duke box to fill in those awkward silences, no TV to boggle at whilst someone is trying to talk to you or vica versa.

I liked it so much I made sure I bought my house in the area, just to make sure this is my local!

I would just like to question "Jonboy's" remarks posted waaaay back in April.

I work with the fella and I have it on good authority that he was in the Ponty both Friday lunchtime and Friday evening.

I dunno, some people just enjoy moaning. I just guess there's no point in trying to make him happy when he's happy feeling sad.

Keep up the good work Ponty, we'll turn him sooner or later.

Kozlčka, Prague, 1

What a fantastic place!

Loads of atmosphere, open til 4am. Frequented by both tourists and Czechs, so it's unlikely you'll bump into Stag, Hen and rugby tour crowd.

Oh, and serves the biggest and best steaks in Prague,
Nastrave!

Rocky O'Reillys, Prague

Amazing! After I'd sat down and ordered my beer, I shut my eyes and "Blimey O' Riley" I could've been back in Essex.

If fact I could've just stayed at home and saved 100 and got proper hammered.

But, if that's what you want, this place does it the best in Prague.

The Original Plough, Chelmsford

Can get too busy on Fridays and Saturdays, but if you manage to get a table, it's well worth the visit.

You will be rewarded with a selection of fine Ales, my favourite at the moment being the Calaedonian Deauchars.

Perhaps it's trying to be all things to all people at once, but it very nearly pulls it off. Play pool downstairs, or sit and chat with mates on the top floor, or watch sport on the giant screens on the ground floor. It's totally up to you!

Whatever you choose to do, you'll always be sure of a friendly welcome and some good hearty food if you eat there.
