I HATE going to this pub cause when I go in, I can never quite drag myself out :)
Probably some of the friendliest staff in Edinburgh. Beer price a bit steep, but for a themed pub and the friendly reception you get it's worth the extra few pence. Recently visited with my friend who visited from Germany, he loved it and maintains it's the best pub he's been to in Scotland. Another good pub is 'Scruffy Murphys' in Queensferry Street. But definately give this one a go if you've never been. The music is good too

Great pub if you're into the Beatles. Friendly service depending on which barman is on. Not a bad pint, good for watching the football in

Unfriendly atmosphere!
Sign on door indicates -
NO CREDIT CARDS! NO SMOKING! NO MOBILE PHONES! NO BACK-PACKERS! NO CAMERAS! NO TRAINERS!
Rude, mannerless staff and very hostile atmosphere. Inflated prices and 'cold' clientelle. Wouldn't recommend this pub to my worst enemy.

Nice pub. Impressed by it's comfortability, not impressed by its ignorant bar staff who have little idea of the term 'Queing System'.
Inside: comfortable and well decorated. Prices reasonable, beer rather good and good choice of continental lagers too. Location: slightly out of the way, but worth taking a taxi to if you're planning on a quiet drink. Overall really liked it, apart from the incident where someone barged in next to me in front of the barmans eyes and got served first.
