Good local boozer with good beers, has an adult atmosphere which is refreshing for the area and good services. plenty of room to sit down. Friendly atmosphere and a good place to go to chat with friends.

Went a few weeks ago one sunday lunchtime and found it to be more of a restaurant than a pub with nowhere to sit unless you had booked a table so not really a pub atmosphere and rather disappointing and the only pubby bit was where the locals stood and chatted but were robbed of any comfort. Beers all good though and service also. Would not go back on a Sunday though.

The Fox and Hounds, Romney Street
Good pub for walkers; was busy on a January Sunday lunchtime with a lot of locals which made for a good relaxing atmosphere. Good beers. Great log fire and I liked the bit of garden trellis with fairy lights in front of the toilet doors. The fact that they make you take your muddy boots off added to the front room atmosphere. Will try it one evening as their food seemed very popular and its just so remote for the area that you feel you're right out in the middle of nowhere.

The Kings Head, Bessels Green
This is not really a pub on a Sunday when we visited. More a restaurant with just a tiny bar for drinkers which is a shame as the Adnams was very good and the general ambience first class especially as the pub is smoke free.Maybe for the rest of the week it converts back into a pub which would be good
