The Robin Hood, Clacton on Sea
Usually 3 Real Ales on, 2 x Adnams + guest. All pretty reliable.

The Old Lifeboat House, Clacton on Sea
Still an outlet for good beer in Clacton. Currently selling Greene King ales with customary quality.

An oasis in an otherwise real ale desert. Good selection of changing ales with friendly service

The Rocking Horse, Clacton On Sea
Closed after successful Essex Police drug raid. No loss to the drinking fraternity

Generally fine all though Landlady and staff could be more friendly. However on last visit on a Sunday had run out of ale. Not a good sign!

The Moon and Starfish, Clacton On Sea
Worst Wetherspoons I've ever visited, filthy, bad service and 'interesting' locals. Beer selection is limited and quality is poor

Concentrates on food although usually has 3 real ales on all of a reasonable standard

Being completely rebuilt after being destroyed by fire. We live in hope that a good pub will emerge!

Badly damaged by fire over a year ago. Not yet re-opened.

The Queens Arms, Clacton On Sea
No real ale despite presence of hand pumps. Not a friendly welcome either. Best avoided.

The Old Lifeboat House, Clacton on Sea
CAMRA's only recommended pub in Clacton! Usually 3 real ales on and excellent friendly service. Well worth a visit

The Fox and Fiddler, Colchester
Excellent selection of Might Oak ales, all well kept. Home cooked food is just that and good value.
