The Sugar Hut Village, Brentwood

Renamed the Sugar Hut Village. Got a Thai thing going on. Over priced and sticks out like a sore thumb. I'm surprised how popular it's become as most people in Brentwood wouldn't know where Thailand was on a map of Thailand.

The Castle, Brentwood

Reading the other comments about this place I find it very hard to imagine the Castle with any atmosphere, let alone rocking. The beer is so bad in there you wouldn't give it to a dog in heat, and the "regs" have been the "regs" for the past three decades. One redeeming feature is the pool tables, but that hardly makes up for the lack of live music. If you like bad beer, screwball company, ugly chicks, and dull conversation get down the there.

The Amersham Arms, New Cross

This is a great pub with some great live bands. A saw a band play in Camden last year and just recently found out they're playing here on Friday 11th March. Get your arses down there to see Elysium Field, hard hitting rock straight from hell. Couldn't think of a better venue in the area to see such a quality band.
