Nice, straightforward pub serving food at the usual times (e.g. lunch till 3 on Saturdays). London Pride well kept, more expensive than average though.

The Railway Tavern, Kingsland

Handily placed for the station. Quiet, and shows football and other sport(Sky) when broadcast in both the front and back bars. Elderly, local clientele. Can be busy as it's rather small.

The Three Compasses, Hackney

Simple straightforward local pub, popular with the local football team who frequent it after matches during the season. Shows live football on Sky, rarely packed during matches though. Real ale selection poor.
