The Lark in the Park, Islington
I live round the corner from this place and didn't know it existed! Even so, the equivalent of Beirut?! This is steps away from Barnsbury - one of the nicest looking places to live in North London!

The Hemingford Arms, Barnsbury
Great set up - and Ben Chaplin fans note, he's a regular, particularly when Chelsea play in the Champs Lge....

Cool place - not many seats, but the decent music makes up for it, particularly as the machine is prone to messing up and giving an unlimited amount of selections - hope someone updates it a bit more regularly though, spotted a few new cds in the other day but it's been a long while before that....
No TV which is a shame, there are some people out there who love rock n' roll as much as footy! Keep the volume turned up though, cos the noise from below will drown it out otherwise...
Good times....

The Famous Cock Tavern, Islington
I've been in worse places.....good location for meeting, usually a spare seat (except on matchday/Champs Lge nights), shows the footy - not somewhere to spend the night but does the job as an hour rest.....

Nice and big with big screens for the footy - nowhere to put your bags if you turn up in a busy period so they usually end up on the floor with fag ash all over them. Food not too bad, cheap beer. Just one thing, next time Chelsea play Tottenham on Sky they should show that instead of the bloody rugby!

This pub was great a few weeks ago, for the past 6 months or so - friendly staff, great food (proper roasts), cool music - unfortunately in the last few weeks it seems to have been taken over by chav central. I'm guessing the owners have sold up as the new staff were rough sounding, the clientele even rougher and the once pleasing menu has been stripped to the basics and rebranded 'munch'. A very snobby review i know, but it was great at New Years Eve - very friendly and relaxed, now it seems to be crawling back to the dive it once was as The Huntingdon.....
