The Proverbial, Stevenage

I like this place. Modern decor and sexy bar staff. Good for a spot of lunch, reasonably priced. Their ale was a bit dodgy for a while, all had a cold haze but that seems to be fixed now. Sky Sports is shown, so also good for the odd match.

Ye Olde Bowling Green Inn, Bradwell

This was the pub we visited that wouldn't allow dogs. Not sure why, the restaurant was seperate to the bar area. It was lunch time, no-one in the pub, two sandwiches took 25 minutes. Rest my case.

The Shoulder Of Mutton, Bradwell

My wife, dog and I went away for a walking weekend and stayed in a B&B in Bradwell. The nearest pub to us, didn's allow dogs in so we came here on two nights. Excellent beer, really nice locals, good entertainment on the Saturday night. Food, although simple, was delicious.
