The Four Seasons Public House, Devizes
I am ashamed to say I didn't try the real ale but the 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for 20 was just too good to resist. The wine was not even one of the cheap variety either! Staff were frindly and we sat outside in a pleasant beer garden to enjoy our meals (this was July)

It must be something about after match drinkers as this pub is a couple of mile from Walsall ground but I like others ended up there after a game - to be fair I have been in this pub before (too many years ago to mention here) and thought I would give it a go. Well worth it I would say with a few real ales and a very mixed clientele (arty types mixed with footie fans). I get told off for saying it too often but it really is an oasis in the middle of a run down area of Walsall (Caldmore if you know the area).

The Black Country Arms, Walsall
I agree with other reviews here this is a good place for ales - I didn't count how many but there was certainly more than 10. Sat upstairs and ok not the best of views (this is Walsall after all) but it did look over the old market square. Recommend you pop in and try it yourself made a change from the standard Wetherspoons bars in the town.

The pub has now gone back to being the Watering Trough again (I am sure in my youth there was an actual trough outside). This pub will not be to everyones taste but if you like your rock music then pop in. The beers not the greatest but the Abbot Ale was passable. Staff and clientele friendly enough

Good old fashioned pub with a choice of ales - a few from Backyard brewery. I am ashamed to say I have walked passed this pub for years without actually going in - I think the outside has never been that inviting. But now I have been next time in Walsall I shall be popping in again.
