I waited nearly a hour for food here- and when we asked politely when it would be coming as our lunch hour was nearing its end -someone had lost or order ????how i dont no but instead of an apology we were told we should of asked sooner!!! now the cricketers up the road is our lunch time spot n ome time the crown an horses if there a little to busy

BRILL pub -all non smoking (outside section for smokers) newly refurbed and has a great carvey at weekends lovely food friendly staff

Nice pub/bar to visit for a drink is a little pricey -Its in a great location on the main road but since the refurb seems there trying to aiming for a up market customer the food poorly hits either continental or traditional pub grub (esp when for a little more money there are better food restraunts around) Later opening times are a big plus as theres not much else around late at night but on a day to day basis it dosent do it for me

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap,Cheap, Food looks like its been over done in a microwave and theres little imagination put into each dish! Drink prices are cheap! so make a good place to visit if your low on dosh, Can get stupidly busy an with all weatherspoons it brings in the young crowd (Which for a local resident- is'nt great when its chucking out time!)

I agree the large garden is nice its a crowd puller in summer but overcrowding and slowmoving bar line are a shame. The beer is resonably priced food is ok but theres room for improvement! and the crowd on a fri and sat night are young and loud not really suited for a family dinner! i wonder to if everyones legal to drink?!? Big plus is the river side view but no parking

Ive visited this pub since xmas 2006 and i have been really impressed each time. Since the new management the quality of food here has greatly immproved with new dishes being added at each visit. Compared to the nearby weather spoon yes it seems expensive but i find them very resonable. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere make it a good place to vist. I agree that the clientele here are not "Chavs" but i find the mix of people vary in age and the place esp at weekends can get quite busy. -A great place for families and it has become our regular drinking spot!
