Ok pub, it's friendly and the beer is ok without being thrilling. Went in there recently and had a good night. A place for the more mature drinker such as myself.

I liked it when it was the Campbell when Sabs ran it, those were the days!!
Join my campaign to bring back the Dive: now there was a classic case of a great pub being ruined by 'progress'. They tried to cater for the students (bless 'em) and soon went out of business. Now where can an honest to god law abiding 50 something ex Hells Angel go for a pint, eh?

Nice old building, but not a very good pub. Has potential though; if they could just evict those pesky chimps.....

The Gatehouse Tavern, Coventry
A bit of a hidden gem this one. Small but friendly, beer ok too.

Not really a pub, more of a house masquerading as one. If you are passing by, keep walking; you'll thank me for it

This used to be a decent pub but they've ruined it now. Is the price of progress worth paying? is it F***; as Shakespeare once said!!

Blame the owner!!
No one I know from Cov would drink here, and I think they're told to keep local people out. Gives a false impression to all the new students and their mummies and daddies when they visit Cov. If you like Browns you'll love the Tin Angel also; and you are probably a vegan/yoghurt knitting/sandal wearing luvvie.
By the way this pub is built on above an old public lavatory: 'nuff said!!

Nice pub, cosy in the winter. A nice pub to go to if you don't like town pubs
