Easily the best pub in Streatham and for miles around. The pub did lose some of its character following some major refurbishment about three or so years ago, but it still maintains many of the architectural eccentricities charactersitic of some other older 'Youngs 'brewery pubs around London. The location might not be ideal for some, but for others a further plus point is that it is a safe distance from the polluted heartland of Streatham High Road.
This is a real pub, and Streatham and south London needs it.

Good selection of real ales, frequent turnover of guest Ales. Friendly staff and great sausages. The other food isn't bad either. Usually Packed with civil servants (usually quite young) and sundry office workers. At its best in the summer when you can sit out in the yard.
Conscientious landlord.

The Buckingham Arms, Westminster
My favourite pub in Westminster. It does tend to be frequented by middle aged civil servants that gives the place an air of old worldly gentlemans club, therefore perhaps not to everyones taste. However, it does have a wonderful friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the Youngs beer is very good. The food is pretty good too.If you're hungry, get yourself a 'Buckingham burger'.
Friendly staff.
