The Noughts and Crosses, Polperro
The spelling, grammar and content of Beer Tester's post reveals who the binge drinker is!
Dump of a pub, always has been, always will be.

The wild mushroom 'stroganoff' was microwaved- from- frozen utter tasteless c*** as was its accompanying saffron rice.So tasteless I sent it back via a passing waitress.
Nobody apologised or bothered to ask what was wrong.
Was offered something else but wouldn't risk it after what was quite the worst offering I have ever had in any pub,and I've had the jacket potato in the Noughts and Crosses in Polperro and shared the '2 mains for 7.99' in a Weatherspoons.
Stayed to enjoy my lovely glass of a good shiraz and to allow my husband to finish his meal,he'd been driving for 5 hours and was ravenous. His fish and chips he found to be average and overpriced.
I wasn't offered a refund but did receive one when I asked.
Good atmosphere,friendly staff,appalling meal.
Won't be going back.

The Noughts and Crosses, Polperro
Since the new tenants took over the cottage next to this dump has been sold and the cottage on the other side is on the market,as is the one opposite.
Foul-mouthed aggressive youths smoking and shouting in the narrow street til the early hours makes this more like an inner city.
The village website is conducting a poll on favourite pubs and this hole is the only pub to have received no votes whatsoever.Avoid.

Agree with pubpubpubpub.
Previous 2 posts both contain "couldn't do enough for us" and length of posts also bit of a giveaway!
Cannot comment on the beer as we didn't bother to try.
It's gone a bit chavy since previous landlord left.

The Blue Peter, Polperro
You'd do better that complain in the Blue - they are known for arguing the odds rather than just putting it right.
I once had a tiny, tiny complaint about the food and after a tirade of explanations and excuses she alluded it was my problem because nobody else had ever explained.
Yeah,that's because they knew better!
