Decent bar, great beers and cocktails - great staff and cool music. Only downsides its pricey as you like, and if you like the idea of spending evenings with the local estate agent wideboys trying to be lords then its the place for you. The fact that its the best isn't because its any good - its that their is no competition

This used to be the favourite place in the area for food. However, last few visits have been mixed. One time I got my main course 20 minutes before my friend. The stupid way they seperate a till for food, and drinks adds to the confusion - normally the inept barstaff manage this buy themselves. It used to be great, always runs out of food and the staff are as unhelpful as you can get. Take a 5 minute trip to the Fallow buck, and you'll be gald you did. Come on Robin hood - get your act back together - you used to be the best.

The Hereford Arms, South Kensington
Went into this little gem before going to a Chelsea game, what a find. The staff were possibly the friendliest in town, and the manager should win manager of the year award - he couldn't do enough to help. The food is superb, not the usual Brake brothers in microwave stuff, real pies here large plates and crispy veg. Cannot recommend enough.

The Old Barge, Hertford
I was here on the first sunny day this year, glorious pub to sit outside for a pint by the canal and watch the world go by. Ordered food from the menu, which sounded superb "pan fried bacon and chicken" and the "crabcake salad" well given that the last reviews were 6 months ago i can only assume that the pub is under new management, as when the food arrived it was terrible. The so called pan fried....seemed to have been fried in a fryer, that may explain the chip residuals attached to the pieces. The crabcakes faired no better, they looked like they had been fried at least 4 times, they were completely inedible. The salad on the side was half brown, shrivelled up and dry. Nice pub, but avoid the food
